Dr. Pierre F. Walter is an international lawyer, researcher, author and lecturer. After finalizing studies in German law and European Integration at Saarland University with diplomas in both disciplines in 1982, he graduated in 1987 at the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva as Docteur en Droit in international law. The doctorate was funded by scholarships from the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law, Lausanne, and from the University of Geneva, as well as a Fulbright Travel Grant for a 3-month work term with Professor Louis B. Sohn at UGA Law School Department of International Law, Athens, Georgia, USA, in 1985.
After a psychotherapy and spiritual retreat, he became an educator, life coach, author and entrepreneur. From 1994 to 1996, he ran a consultancy firm in Rotterdam, Holland, and in 1996, he started a new career as a writer, coach and corporate trainer in South-East Asia. Since 2004, he is a self-employed writer and self-publisher.
Pierre F. Walter writes, lectures and teaches in English, German and French languages; he has written more than ten thousand pages that span all literary genres, including novels, short stories, film scripts, essays, selfhelp books, monographs and extended book reviews. He is also a pianist and composer and has realized 40 CDs with New Age Music, Piano Solo Music and Relaxation Music.

Res Publica
The name of this domain is derived from res publica, a Latin expression which means, literally translated, public matters or public affairs. It was a term forged by the Romans, and it shows their acute political understanding of human togetherness. In a more expansive way, you could translate the term also as political understanding or simply by responsibility for matters that concern all of us.
For the ancient Romans, the res publica were matters that had a direct impact upon the public domain, the administration of the state, or that were of public interest, which means that they were important for all members of the community.
Many of my publications deal with matters that are of high public interest while the present public debate suggests that they regard only minority groups or certain individuals who are different from the herd. I show in my publications that we are all concerned, and that solutions can only be found when problems are embraced, not when they are discarded out and denied.
In fact, my stand on these issues is that they are treated irresponsibly by our governments today and that the public, even more so, reacts on these issues in an ambiguous, immature and angst-ridden way, a way that shows a total lack of true information on these matters, information namely that is not distorted by a right-wing agenda and propaganda, but that is matter-of-fact and truly scientific.
Among these public matters are the reformulation of rational, sustainable and truly humane social policies.
What we are held to believe is somehow that truth is being untruth and that fighting for our legal and natural rights is an offence to the system in power. What is wrong here is not you, but the system. It is not power, but abusive power that triggers harm and that thereby shuns its own legitimacy.
