TV

Visual Art & Photography

IPUBLICA TV is quite a unique channel, offering a variety of personal, artistic, educational and informational videos and video slideshows. These videos and slideshows were originally published on the author’s  four Youtube channels (ipublica, authoryourlife, blissviews, siriuscmedia) and his  various Vimeo and Blip Tv channels. Many of them can equally be found as podcasts on iTunes.

The interested audience is called to search iTunes under the author’s name, ‘Pierre F. Walter’. By and by, these videos that were all self-produced will find their way into professional film production, at least those that are worthwhile enough, not the previews of course, but those that offer original content.

It is admitted that the videos are basic in the sense that the author simply talks excerpts of his many books. A professional production team would of course insert stock photography to underline the message, the way documentaries are produced. This may come later in 2012 when the author has finalized the present site including all the literary, audio and video content.

Here is a listing of all channels with productions by Pierre F. Walter:

Author Your Life

These videos, which were first published on the author's authoryourlife Youtube channel are of a coaching nature. They are geared toward serving personal growth, healing abuse, handling emotions and develop perfect self-expression and creativity.

These videos are addressed to all those who are in search of their true self, those who are going through a life crisis and emotional turmoil, or those who need support in a situation of relationship discruption. The author termed his self-coaching method ‘Author Your Life’ or ‘Life Authoring’ and has written a manual about it that is entitled ‘The Life Authoring Manual‘. A comprehensive summary and explanation of Life Authoring is to be found in the author's Glossary.

Autobiographical

These videos are autobiographical in nature. They are ad-ons to an illustrated autobiography.

Book Excerpts

These are more than 150 videos produced in 2005-2007, and in which Pierre F. Walter is reading excerpts of his books. These videos were first published on his four youtube accounts, and subsequently also on Vimeo and Blip TV. You can also find most of them as podcasts on iTunes, by doing a search in your iTunes store under the author name 'Pierre F. Walter'. The videos are not republished here for the simple reason that content duplication is penalized in Google Search, and is generally rather confusing the audience.

Why video lectures at all, one may ask? Well, the integration of literary content, audio and video reinforces the message the author brings, and it addresses various audiences. Among the younger generations are many who prefer audio content over books, as they can listen to it while walking, driving or during leisure time, without being forced to do one single thing at a time. The author followed up to feedback received from young people regarding the role of audio in video in their lives, and the almost total absence of books. The same importance for this audience seems to have the audio book, while academically trained people may always prefer the written book, hence the need to publish all literary content on amazon.com, instead of selling this content in PDF form over the site.

This being accomplished in 2012, the author ventures in the digital arena so as to reach open-minded people through audio and video content, while admittedly, it may not please all tastes to watch an author speaking parts of his books without using illustrations, video clips or other means to reinforce the message. This is to come in the future. Here are the links to my audio books:

The present page references only lectures of my 10 Idiot Guides or Awareness Guides, in English language. Here you can see references to all my video channels. The books themselves are to be found on this page with further references to amazon.com and Scribd.

Photography

These are a number of slideshows with photography of mine, both artistic and autobiographical in content. These slideshows, some of which are published on my siriuscmedia Youtube channel, are unique because they present, each of them, a musical piece of mine, typically a piano composition. By the way, you find all my music here:
New Age Music, by Pierre Frederic
Piano Solo Music, by Pierre Frederic
Relaxation Music, by Pierre Frederic

These are landscape and interior photos that I distilled into slideshows that come with my own music playing in the background. I have arranged them in chronological order. The Lausanne photos were taken back in 1986, with a Minolta 300 camera and a 35-70mm zoom lens, using either Agfa or Ilford films with high contrast. All photos were hand-developed in a local photo studio, on 13x18 paper, and scanned with an HP scanner. The Bali photos were taken in Ubud, Bali, in 1994, with a Sony VX-2000 camcorder, as 680x480 stills. The Genova photos were taken with the same camera, in 2003. The Provence photos were taken between 2002 and 2004 with the same camcorder, and the photos of the Rangoon, Myanmar, Pagoda were taken in 2007 with a Canon 400D.

Presentations

These presentations were realized in 1998, in Jakarta, Indonesia and in the Kingdom of Brunei. They are about Chinese Feng Shui and Oriental Lifestyle. As they were the first presentations I realized, they are quite funky and innocent, bearing a 'beginner freshness' that is a virtue in Zen, but no virtue in our professional modern culture. I have nonetheless kept them and offer them here with a smile ... After all, we all are beginners – all the time!

Visual Art

Here you find slideshows with artwork of friends of mine, and myself. My own ones were realized in the years 1990-1992, a time of retreat, when I was doing a psychotherapy and found a spiritual approach to life, the others are from artists in Bali and in Vietnam. As usual, all those productions come with some of my own music in the background. You are going to see on this page:
